Henry Warwick was a member of The Third Space for nine years.
Of course we have many members, and they are all equally important to us, but some members become friends and part of our extended family. Henry was one of these friends and his death in a cycling accident on February 3rd has shocked and saddened us all.
Henry was 53 and had been a cycle courier in London for 20 years. This isn’t the first time a cycle accident has had an impact on the Club, though this is the first with such tragic consequences. Henry was the thirteenth cyclist to be killed in central London this year and the latest of over 27,000 killed or seriously injured on British roads in the last ten years. It seems there is no better time for us to tell Henry’s fellow members about the Cities Fit for Cycling campaign. The campaign for safer cycling is led by The Times and has already resulted in a parliamentary debate – scheduled for February 23rd. Please take a moment to pledge your support for the campaign here.
