We are one of the few Gyrotonic studios in London and boast the best trainers including master trainer Cherie Love.
The usual response when I say ‘Gyrotonic’ is – “I’m sorry what?”! I admit, it sounds like a drink you have once you’ve claimed your dole money – but Gyrotonic exercise is becoming one of the most talked about forms of exercise in Britain with Physiotherapists such as our own Kevin Lidlow recommending it to clients, and even Olympian Ski-er Chemmy Alcott and Amazon Trail Blazor Ed Stafford using it as an integral part of their training, even Madonna is a Gyro addict these days! What is it exactly? Well, through the use of ‘the tower’ – pulleys are used to create constant and smooth resistance. To go ‘all technical’ about it Gyrotonic allows users to stretch and strengthen muscles, while simultaneously stimulating and strengthening connective tissues in and around the joints of the body. These exercises are synchronized with corresponding breathing patterns, thus enhancing aerobic and cardiovascular stimulation and promoting neuro-muscular rejuvenation. At The Third Space Pilates we are lucky to have the best Gyrotonic instructors in the UK – including Cherie Love who is currently training Chemmy Alcott. Though you don’t have to be an Olympian to do Gyro! We have had clients coming to us for depression relief, post-cancer body rehabilitation, and to generally improve their fitness and strength. Ultimately, the result of doing Gyrotonic is a stronger, leaner body. We are currently offering 20% off your first Gyrotonic session, so for more information or to book in for your session please visit The Third Space Medicine – 0207 439 7332 or email the Pilates Studio
