Background
Kat Johnson began her competitive athletic career sprinting for her State Squad in her Native New-York City 16years ago. In University Kat had the privilege of training with world class athletes in both The United States and Brazil. Kat then progressed into a combination of gymnastics and dance which led to a performance career in the circus and in dance for shows on tour. After traveling the world she certified as a personal trainer in New-York City and continued to progress as an athlete, performer and Personal trainer. Kat decided to challenge herself by competing as an amateur boxer in 2004. Since then has concentrated more in a cross training style and progressive functional training using all of the techniques she has developed over the years.
Philosophy
I believe that sports and athleticism are an incredible analogy for how you as an individual conquer your life. Training is an opportunity to overcome adversity and better yourself entirely. I believe that you can do anything you put your mind too. I believe that your body is very much a consequence of the application of your thoughts and good old hard work. I think you should use your body weight and range of motion in various cardiovascular activities in combination with strength and stretch for the ultimate use of your body’s potential.
