What is it good for?
Menstrual problems, abnormal cervical smears, fertility assessment, pelvic infection, pelvic pain, endometriosis, pre-menstrual complaints, early pregnancy problems, fibroids, urinary incontinence and prolapse of the vaginal walls
What happens in a consultation?
Clinical assessment of the female reproductive system related ailments.
Equipment such as Colposcope (telescope to visualise the neck of the womb) and ultrasound are used to complement the assessment.
Treatments include:
Electro-acupuncture - Urgency and frequency of urine
Hysteroscopy - Telescope placed in to the womb to check for abnormalities in cases of unusual bleeding. Can be performed without anaesthia.
Laparoscopy - Telescope inserted in the abdomen to check for abnormalities in cases of abdominal pain.
Pelvic floor exercises (Kegel's) - Training of pelvic muscles to improve leakage of urine

Gynaecology procedures required are currently performed in their North London practice.
