Introduction
Kinesiology or muscle testing was originally developed by chiropractors who discovered that each muscle is associated with a specific organ, hormone, nutrient, spinal nerve root, and other factors which affects its strength. A kinesiologist evaluates overall health through a series of muscle tests to identify hypertonic or weak muscles. He or she determines what nutrition, meridian balancing, spinal manipulations, reflex points etc help correct the muscle imbalance and restore well-being.
Muscle testing is now used worldwide by doctors, chiropractors, osteopaths, nutritionists, and various therapists as a NON INVASIVE method to evaluate Health and Disease.
What is it good for?
General health screening to pick up early signs of hormonal, nutritional, meridian imbalance and digestion and detoxification problems.
Helps pinpoint food sensitivities, toxins, allergies and fungal and bacterial overgrowth.
Helps identify the cause(s) of a person’s symptoms whether nutritional, hormonal, toxic, structural, mental or energetic.
What happens in a consultation?
A thorough history of your symptoms, lifestyle, nutrition, medical and family history is taken. Fully clothed, specific muscles will be tested for resilience using light touch. Weak muscles can then be strengthened using nutrition, acupressure, reflex points and manual manipulation where necessary.
