Introduction
The whole body can be treated or specific problem areas focused on. It is a holistic intuitive treatment that aids the body’s innate healing powers and in which the health of the mind and body are treated as inseparable, with the effects of the emotions taken into account.
What is it good for?
Ideal for alleviating stress, anxiety, tension, and there physical and emotional effects. Deep tissue massage is helpful in alleviating aches and pains in the neck, back, hips, and shoulders, mobilising muscles and joints, RSI, WRULDS, improving sleep, hormonal and digestive issues and reducing migraines and headache.
It also calms the mind and gently stimulates the elimination of toxins from the body. It can also be helpful in recuperation from illness, accidents and surgery.
What happens in a consultation?
At the appointment: The practitioner will discuss with you what you would like from your session and observe you breathing and mobility. I will then massage using a variety of techniques to alleviate the problem and make suggestions re posture and rehabilitation and future support. I may use aromatherapy or plain oils during this treatment. It is best to wear shorts or underwear. You will be covered with towels and only the area being worked upon will be exposed.
Drink plenty of water after the treatment to aid detoxification. Be prepared to feel relaxed and sleepy if choosing a soothing treatment.
Preparation and Requirements
It is best not to have had any alcohol or any food for 2 hours prior to your treatment. You may bring shorts and t-shirt but it is not essential as you can be treated in your underwear. You may prefer to wear loose fitting clothes for after your treatment. Please bring any previous results relating to treatment. Please cover any wounds before appointment. If you are pregnant or suffer from epilepsy, various veins, poor circulation or any health issues that may affect you treatment please inform us before hand.
