The medical centre offers orthodox and complementary treatments as well as psychological therapies. Individuals or couples (as appropriate) can attend single sessions or a course of treatments.

Osteopathy – Treat pelvic and back pain, symphysis pubis dysfunction (spd) during and post pregnancy. Mother and baby clinic also available incorporating cranial osteopathy
Bowen Therapy – Treating menstrual irregularity, stimulating ovulation, pain during pregnancy such as sciatica and spd. It is recommended for the preparation of birth to release restriction in soft tissue, and help to shorten a new mother’s recovery period.
Chiropractic and Physiotherapy – Treat posture issues, pelvic and back pain
Podiatry – Foot related issues during and post pregnancy
Aromatherapy, Shiatsu and Hot & Cooled Stone Massage – Deep relaxation, improve sleep, reduces cortisol levels and relieves stress on weight-baring joints pre, during and post pregnancy
Reflexology – Is incredibly relaxing and soothing for not only the feet but the mind and body. It stimulates pain relieving endorphins. Treatments given during the last 10 weeks of pregnancy may reduce labour time (Dr Gowrie Motha, London Nursing Times 10/89)
Hypnotherapy / Life Coaching / Thoughtfield Therapy (TFT) /Psychotherapy / Mindful Meditation - Preparing and supporting individuals or couples for conception and parenthood. Support in reducing stress and cortisol levels in infertility treatments and those with a history of miscarriages. During pregnancy and hormonal changes, we can benefit from guidance on Stress and anxiety reduction, breathing and self help.
Pilates, Gyrotonics and Yoga – Antenatal classes or one to one classes available. Essential for maintaining good posture, flexibility and breathing practices during pregnancy. These forms of exercise are both helpful for reducing aches and pains or SPD during pregnancy and also improving flexibility and relaxation for supporting the birth process.
What happens in a consultation?
All practitioners take a full case history at the initial appointment. Information is then available for other practitioners if subsequent visits are required for other treatments and there is no need for the initial information to then be repeated.
