Introduction
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is different to Western medicine; it is not right or wrong – just different.
TCM is a theoretical understanding of human existence.
This theory is put into practise by using one or a variety of the following therapies - Acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Diet therapy, Tui Na massage, and Qi gong.
Concepts such as Yin and Yang, Qi and Blood, and the 12 Meridians provide the foundation from which treatment derives.
Looking, hearing, asking, and feeling allow the practitioner to arrive at a diagnosis, and hence choose the correct treatment options. There are over 3,000 practitioners who use TCM here in the U.K.
What is it good for?
Anything you would go and see a Doctor for.. e.g. coughs, colds, infections, digestive problems, menstrual issues, immune conditions, allergies, stress etc etc
