At The Third Space Pilates we are proud to have a team of the most experienced and talented instructors in the UK. Our instructors come from a variety of backgrounds from Dance and Yoga to Fitness.We pride ourselves on having instructors who are experienced and trained in both pilates and gyrotonic for injury rehabilitation and for fitness. Our instructors all specialise in different aspects of Pilates or Gyrotonic, so if you are considering Pilates or Gyrotonic and you are not sure which instructor would suit you, please contact our studio manager Alyssa Kyria and she will be happy to discuss your goals and reasons for wanting to train with us, and help put you together with the right instructor for you.

Tasha Bermingham - Pilates Instructor

Tasha discovered the Pilates technique while training at the New Zealand School of Dance in 2001. Over recent years Tasha has taught at Laban Pilates Studio, The Third Space Pilates Studio and Trevor Blount Pilates Studio in London, Absolute Pilates and Bodywise in Auckland, New Zealand.

Noel Dawn

Noel Dawn - Pilates Instructor

A severe back injury led Noel to a London Osteopath who in turn introduced her to the pilates method.Noel has since gone on to become a highly sought after instructor in New York,London and LA.Noel certified in the classical method through the prestigious New York Studio - Core Pilates NYC. Noel's keen eye and attention to detail is derived from an undetering belief in the classical method. That said her teaching encompasses all the principals that create a superb mind-body connection as well as a serious workout. Often she will quote Joseph Pilates himself : "Physical fitness can neither be achieved through wishful thinking nore outright purchased.

Louisa Collyns

Louisa Collyns - Pilates Instructor

Long standing knee injuries caused through dancing as a child and a further neck injury caused when teaching scuba diving led Louisa to Pilates. She found it enabled her to improve strength, reduce pain and recover from her injuries. Louisa offers an encouraging environment in which to learn pilates, and believes that an awareness of our bodies, strengthening them from within and moving with ease and flow, produces a vital sense of well-being  that is often lacking in our modern lifestyles.

Yusef Sonne

Yusef Sonne - Pilates Instructor

Yusef Sonne has a long history in Contemporary Dance having toured with various Dance Companies after gaining a First Class B.A (Hons) Degree.
 
Yusef gained two qualifications in massage and also in fitness training and subsequently combines these disciplines with Pilates to provide varied and in-depth training. Yusef has also worked extensively in Pre and Post natal Pilates.

Monica GiacoMonica Giacominmin - Pilates Instructor

Monica applies a somatic approach to Pilates, with an emphasis on making connections between the body and the mind. Her focus is enjoying movement whilst paying attention to alignment and breath. Her background is in physical theatre and takes inspiration from a variety of different physical disciplines.

Tony has been teaching Pilates for 9 years. He has studied with Polestar and Judith Ashton, a direct student of Joseph, and Feldenkrais, a revolutionary technique for postural alignment.
 
As well as studying Pilates, he has been practicing, studying and teaching Yoga for the last 10 years (Sivananda British Wheel of Yoga), which gives him a unique teaching style, integrating movement from both disciplines.

Kaithrina Greene - Pilates Instructor

Kaithrina has worked extensively in the field of sports, as she believes that
this complements Pilates perfectly. She has gained experience working with high profile football clubs, and in particular spent time in Spain at La Liga Club - Valencia. Kaithrina is also a trained masseur and physical therapist. Her unique training in sports rehabilitation and pilates brings a fantastic combination of rehabilitation and fitness to her sessions.

Rosy Sanders - Pilates Instructor

A former professional dancer and choreographer on both sides of the Atlantic. Rosy has been teaching Pilates since 1998 both in equipment based pilates and mat work. Rosy believes in giving as much individual attention as possible to encourage the student to become aware of the benefits in everyday life of muscular-skeletal alignment as embodied by the Pilates method.
 
Her teaching is influenced by her many years of experience and study of Dance, Yoga and Chinese Martial Arts, as well as Pilates and Alexsander Technique.

Ian King

Sally Brown - Pilates Instructor

A former ballerina, Sally has performed with the English National Ballet company. She found Pilates ensured her body was in peak fitness, prevented and rehabilitated any injuries.Sally then trained with Pilates International and Body Control and has taught in prestigious studios around the world. She works with allied health professionals in programs related to injury rehabilitation and also instructing Pilates exercise for elite conditioning. She is passionate about Pilates and the positive effects it has on physical well being.

Cherie Love - Gyrotonic & Gyrokinesis Instructor

Cherie has a broad movement background including yoga and professional contemporary dance. Scoliosis and other structural limitations led Cherie to find Gyrotonic and Gyrokenisis exercise, which have helped her to free the restrictions in her body and strengthen it by balancing internal connection with stretch and flow.
 
Cherie aims to help you find a strong connection to your body so you can improve your core stability, fluidity, flexibility and co-ordination. She uses techniques from Yoga,Qi Gong and dance as well to help you expand your breath capacity,re-energise your body and move with more strength, centeredness and grace.

Kirsten Orchard

Kirsten Orchard - Gyrotonic Instructor


Kirsten is a passionate and energetic teacher of Gyrotonic, Gyrokenisis and Yoga. She places a strong focus on alignment and believes wholeheartedly in the power of mind body fitness to transform not only people's bodies, but also their lives.

Kirsten looks for clients willing to experiment and work hard to achieve maximum results. Kirsten has a particularly good understanding of the stressed office executive, having been one herself for many years.

Gyrotonic provides excellent cross training for regular gym goers; including marathon runners and triathletes. Gyrotonic improves peak performance and reduces the risk of injuries and assymetries in the body. Gyrotonic helps people acheive balance through intelligent movement, improved coordination and increased strength and flexibility. There is great empahsis on deep core stability, which also makes it a appropriate choice for pre and post natal clients.
